In a group we started planning on creating three advertisements for the 2012 London Olympics, we made a mind map on discussing ideas, we began developing more ideas from the images we downloaded and gathered.
With our team mates Charlie, Dan and Jordan we create our presentation together by creating work and research for the advert.

The two sentences I came up with are Neurotic Clown and Submissive Sky.
Neurotic Clown from “Neurotic Clown”
Neurotic which means delusion and health issues with the brain.
This character is a man who grew up with a family of a mother, father and three brothers who abused him for years since he was born, his image of being a clown came from two of his brothers continuously calling him a freak because of his desire to draw pictures of mutilated brains.
When he was 14 he took courses on how to become a circus clown, but after completing his training for 3 years he could not find anyone who would hire him because of his weird attitude that people became afraid of.
He then began to train himself as a brain surgeon in order to alter the nerve system of people’s brains making them become manipulated by his desire. He even managed to preform Brain surgery on himself shutting down emotions such as sadness, fear and anger so he can live happier with no more pain his family have caused him, he has a huge scare that lies underneath his red hair wig.
He is the main antagonist of the game who is versed by the Protagonist at a few times before the dynamic main battle near the end of the game. He walks in a sleek motion by flexing his arms and legs around, he talks in a high pitch stereotypical clown’s voice that giggles with a humorous sarcastic attitude. He doesn’t do much attacking himself; he rather summons people who he has patched up into a zombie like state to attack the Protagonist. When the antagonist is unable to be defended by his minions he attacks the protagonist with his brain rotating razor tool.

Mutant from “Submissive Sky”

This is an example of one of the Mutants from Submissive Sky, it was once a fully human man that fell to mutation after the skies hailed down an acid rain that released deadly radiation that mutated or killed thousands of people who lived in a community away from the City run under the government system on an Island far out in the sea nowhere.
The mutant here has grown an extra four arms with the hands turned into pincer claws that can grab an enemy by the neck and inject its poisonous liquid to paralyze it motionless so the mutant can feast onto. Its legs have degraded away into hundreds of tiny legs that make the mutant walk really slow. It’s eyes have increased in size which makes it very sensitive to any motion in its site, this feature makes it able to spot an enemy for a distance while it hides, this positive and negative changes makes the Mutant act more to sneak up onto its enemies for surprise attacks.
It’s speech is very similar to the rest of the other mutants which is just a garbled voice. By itself it is mostly either hunting for food or crying by the disgust of their body transformation. They do not always act hostile towards the protagonist and may even make contact, however most of the public in the community were ordered to eliminate any foreigners because of a war that happened with the community and the outside world.
The Title Submissive Sky represents the submission the sky has fell to by the radiation.
We created a concept fan which helps develop ideas by writing down a problem, then linking written solutions to the problems then expand the solutions with sub-solutions.

Our Advertisement
In my group we Produced a Mind Map to make a decision on what product we were going to create an advertisement for.
We decided to create the add for the energy drink Relentless, one thing we like the idea on is that they are in competition with Red Bull so we considered making a play on with their "Red Bull Gives you Wiings" Slogan by showing Relentless allowing you to jump.

We decided to create the add for the energy drink Relentless, one thing we like the idea on is that they are in competition with Red Bull so we considered making a play on with their "Red Bull Gives you Wiings" Slogan by showing Relentless allowing you to jump.
Unique Selling Point:
Relentless features sporting activities such as biking, snowboarding and surfing.
"Who needs wings when you can jump?"
this slogan can really bring out the competitive event between the two brands which could create an icon for the product.
"Forget Wings. Jump into reality."
This is most likely going our slogan, it is very similar to the first slogan and conveys the same message, but, in a much better way, the short break between the two sentences creates a strong impact on the viewer and will also stick in their head because of the the simplicity.Ideas:
>Guy jumped onto Red Bull Can, possibly relentless can in hand.
>Can opens up, liquid poring out, sport person riding out from it, 3 different variation, guy snowboarding, bungi jumping, basketball slam
>Man rips into reality
Image research
I researched on images relating to the USP, and what I came up with is extreme sports such as ski diving, snow boarding and bungi jumping.
Presentation:
Me and my group did our presentation with Dan to talk about our current research and rough sketches, created it in powerpoint, here are the slides.

I had to find three examples each of four types of advertisement which are
>Web banner
>Magazine advertisement
>TV advertisement
>Guerrilla advertisement
From the site "http://www.snapfiles.com/freeware/" I found an advertisement of the New Nokia Lumia
One example of a TV Advert is the car buying company "We Buy any car"
the advert has an office man who begins acting formal and then begins to dance with others and the office pulls apart into a dance arena. I like the advert as plays a pop styled song which sticks into peoples head with the lyrics of what the advert is about, because it sticks into people's head they remember the the companies purpose.
This is the TV advert for the video game Final Fantasy XIII, the advert describes very visually what the game is by introducing a series of cut scenes from the game with the main characters. The music played over it being a soft female's singing shows the emotional side of the game's story to appeal to the Role playing video games.
The advert here is for the Orange Tango fizzy drink, showing a man with oranges inside a marine diver's head, then gets flown into the air gets called "tangoed"

The Advert here is a Guerrilla advert which is designed to advertise in a different interesting way, here is the Energy Duracell advert which has been designed by placing a print of a Duracell flash light onto objects where bright light is bring projected like here from the coach vehicle light making it look as if Duracell's battery power is really bright.
This is another example of a Guerrilla advertisement with this time the Sharp Advert, it's made interactive by allowing people to draw on their interactive arm cast.
This magazine ad here shows the simplicity with this smart phone by having a hand with loads of writing of things to do, then with the smart phone showing it all so organized.
Here is another example of a magazine cover, I love the advert here as it promotes exercise by showing the woman doing push ups as the cover is opens and closes.
Here in this example is a DHL magazine add which I like for the transparent seal which looks as if the same man easily passes over a package.

It shows the phone closed up appearing from the left to introduce the product to the view at a good angle, the phone's screen would be simulated to make it clear and vibrant to make it easy to see to the viewer and also attractive to appeal. The text saying "Get Closer" and "New Nokia Lumia" gets the Companies Product's information to the viewer, the name and a very brief description to what their new product will give.
The example here is of a Facebook advertisment promoting Sony Music Unlimited, it uses a basic graphic showing blue which is a colour that Sony likes and has the writing "Try it free for 30 Days" in contrasting colour to make it stand out to the viewer.

The image here is advertising perfume for men and women with
the woman being the main attraction, the walls and her dress are the colour red
with symbolises danger, dominance and lust, her body position being in the Crucifixion
that demonstrates the position of Jesus which the use of is powerful in images.
The man is almost invisible to the advertisement as he is dressed in black
which matches the colour of the stairs, symbolic to say the man is being
stepped on by the woman.
